Summertime means ½ day Fridays from Memorial to Labor Day, and the ability to work from home a set number of days each month.

PR Manager

Indianapolis area

As a PR manager, you will have the opportunity to interact and build relationships with national and trade media, as well as client contacts from a variety of SaaS brands across the country.

In this role, you will own and execute PR projects on behalf of clients, including media outreach and the development of press releases and other content used to fulfill editorial requests from national and trade media outlets. You’ll also work with a team to advise clients, providing strategies for building thought leadership and security media coverage.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Train with various members of the agency on PR tools and tactics, including those that support client and agency communication, media relations and content development 
  • Work with a team to develop PR plans that support client’s business objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • Execute media relations campaigns including pitching trade and national media by email and phone
  • Ghostwrite articles on behalf of client thought leaders and place those pieces with the media
  • Draft or oversee drafting of speaking and award submissions for clients
  • Manage monitoring for and report on secured media coverage using various media monitoring tools
  • Develop relationships with clients, lead client calls, meetings and other client-agency conversations

PR Account Coordinator

BLASTmedia’s account coordinator is a PR-focused role that allows professionals new to the field to work directly with clients and account teams. This entry-level position supports an account team with research, writing and reporting and media relations while learning client industries and agency best practices.

Marketing Coordinator

Indianapolis area

As marketing coordinator, you will have the opportunity to market BLASTmedia as the only PR agency in the country dedicated to B2B SaaS using a variety of public relations and digital marketing techniques.  

In this role, you will work with the agency president and VPs to execute marketing projects, including development of blogs and social media content, email marketing execution and press outreach.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Write creative, audience-specific content that supports our agency including blog posts, bylined articles, social media and case studies
  • Work with a team to develop and execute a media relations and thought leadership strategy for the agency
  • Assist in the identification of and submission for award and speaking opportunities
  • Use Adobe to develop images for use in social media, blog and other digital marketing efforts
  • Aid the team in executing programs that generate MQLs for the agency including email marketing campaigns, webinars and gated content
  • Research digital marketing topics to ensure BLASTmedia is taking advantage of the latest trends
  • Assist the president and VP in additional marketing and new business efforts, including the development of sales materials, research for new business proposals and assistance with promotional events, as needed
  • Lead continuing-education efforts surrounding digital marketing best practices, including holding agency-wide training sessions

What You’ll Need

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills, with a command of grammar, AP style and devotion to getting the details right
  • Proven experience using social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) for a B2B brand to drive website traffic and/or achieve other KPIs
  • Understanding of WordPress and how blogs and gated content can be used as part of a larger marketing strategy
  • Experience with public relations tactics, including press release development, building media lists and pitching  
  • Prior work with email marketing and/or marketing automation solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of multiple teams throughout the agency  
  • Strong understanding of online media channels, trends, search engine optimization (SEO)

Fall PR Internships

Indianapolis area

BLASTmedia’s PR internship offers the chance to work directly with our account teams on activities that benefit our B2B SaaS clients. Each PR intern is placed with a specific agency account team, allowing you to work collaboratively with members of that team on various projects.

Internships are part-time ( 10-15 hours per week) and paid hourly with a flexible schedule to be determined based on college course load.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Train with various members of the agency on numerous PR tools and tactics, including those that support client and agency communication, media relations and content development
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with both internal team members
  • Build press lists for specific pitching initiatives using multiple media databases
  • Assist your account team in identifying editorial opportunities using various research tactics and tools, including editorial calendars and HARO
  • Search for and report on secured media coverage using various media monitoring tools
  • Collaborate on social media projects, including draft content for Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Work with the team to create briefing sheets, byline articles and other written materials
  • Join client calls, meetings and other client-agency conversations to better understand the relationship between a client and an agency

What You’ll Need

  • An entry-level understanding of the PR process, either based on coursework, past internships or another relevant experience
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of multiple teams throughout the agency
  • Experience working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
