January is supposed to be the month when depression sets in, the holiday festivities are over and we start noticing serious vitamin D deficiencies; the dark days when people realize that there's only a couple weeks left of football.

Luckily, we at Blast don't have time for the winter blues; January is our tradeshow season! I was privileged enough to spend the month traveling with the SmartShield guys, representatives of an eco-friendly skincare line.
We started our adventure with Surf Expo in Orlando, traveled to Salt Lake City next for Outdoor Retailer and ended the journey in Las Vegas for SIA. Whew! Good thing SmartShield is awesome. So awesome in fact that after spending all day, every day in a 10X20 booth, we still looked forward to going out at night.

Our “work hard/play hard” philosophy pays off too. In the month of January, SmartShield traveled in three time zones, had face-to-face meetings with over 60 members of the press, all while making a splash in industries ranging from surf to snow and everywhere in between!

Now it’s February in San Francisco and after I catch my breath a little, I realize I already miss those guys and their 10X20 booth. Well, only 11 months until next tradeshow season!
