SES San Jose was the place to see and be seen if you are part of the ever growing SEO/SEM community. SES San Jose is the premier SES event hosted by industry rock star Danny Sullivan and Incisive Media held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose last week. BLASTmedia was there in support of our client TrueLocal. TrueLocal’s Jake Baillie - an industry rock star in his own right – was part of a few different panels, including the search arbitrage panel which was well received and had people talking long after the panel ended.

Highlights of SES included the Google Dance as well as Search Bash 2006 which was hosted by TrueLocal and other industry leaders like BruceClay, Moniker.com and LookSmart. One of the highlights of the trip was watching two of TrueLocal’s finest - Jake Baillie and Sean McCafferty - duel it out in the Sumo Wrestling pit inside the fabulous Studio 8 in downtown San Jose. I am still not sure if Sean will be getting his bonus after defeating his boss in the ring, but it was a great sight and a unique event that drew a huge crowd.
