Even though the team here at BLASTmedia continues to grow, it’s important to highlight one of our seasoned veterans – Vice-President Sabrina Cook.

Since her start at BLASTmedia back in July 2005, Sabrina has seen the offices of BLAST grow leaps and bounds. In fact, she helped with a lot of it! In June 2010, Sabrina moved to our San Francisco office to open and lead the BLASTmedia West Coast office.

But Sabrina’s experience in the PR realm stretches far beyond BLASTmedia. She also has experience working at the Horn Group for clients Riverbed, Motorola Good, hi5, Ebates, and Engine Yard.

Now back home in Indianapolis, Sabrina leads BLASTmedia’s business-to-business (B2B) team who handles client accounts including Code42 (CrashPlan PRO), DriveSavers, WASP Barcode, BlueLock and Scale Computing.

Now for the nitty-gritty, we turn to Sabrina for an inside look on some of her favorites.

BLASTmedia nickname: Breezy – it’s been my nickname since birth, thanks to my parents.

Hometown: Middlebury, IN

College attended: Purdue University

Favorite childhood memory: Going to 4-H camp every summer. We always came home with a million mosquito bites and exhausted but it was so much fun.

Favorite sport: Swimming, Purdue basketball, football, baseball – I can’t pick just one!

Favorite movie: Good Night, and Good Luck because it reminds me why I’m lucky to be an American.

Favorite Indianapolis restaurant: Yats – hands down my favorite!

Random fact: I grew up in the middle of Amish country so I went to elementary school and middle school with Amish kids.

One word to describe you: Spirited

What’s on your iPod: Actually, I don’t own an iPod, I own an MP3 player.  It’s a random mix of folks like: Stevie Wonder, Britney Spears, Eric Hutchinson, Miranda Lambert

How would you describe your job at BLASTmedia: Freaking awesome!  I wake up every morning and feel so lucky to work somewhere that challenges me, with people that I respect (who also happen to be some of my best friends), in a city that I love.  It doesn’t get much better than that!

What do you like to do outside of BLAST: I spend a lot of time volunteering with HOBY Indiana, a youth leadership organization with a mission to develop leadership, service and innovation amongst high school sophomores.  I’ve also recently started running.  I really enjoy it, but I’m not very good – yet!
