BLASTmedia Clients Find Ways to Give Back

by BlakeFife
September 22nd, 2010

At BLASTmedia, our clients love giving back to the community. Within the past few months, we’ve had clients participate within their community to help those in need. From donating 20,000 radios to counter Afghani propaganda to auctioning off celebrity purses to raise money that will benefit early childhood education efforts, our clients take pride in their charitable efforts.

Check out some of these instances of BLASTmedia clients giving back:

Etón Corporation

Last week, Etón Corporation teamed up with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty to donate 20,000 Microlink radios with the hopes of countering Taliban-sponsored stations called “Mullah Radios.” Such stations broadcast messages to the public that are infused with negative connotations of foreign troops in order to dismantle the pro-Western Afghan government.

The small solar-powered, hand-cranked radios will benefit Afghans who live in isolated villages where electricity is hard to come by. Etón Corporation is a firm believer in radio as a powerful medium, and is committed to helping the world communicate across borders without boundaries.

iFrogz

iFrogz took the bus to school last month. To kick the school year off, iFrogz donated 50 Luxe Original cases for the iPod™ Touch to kindergarten students in Indiana’s Spencer Owen School District.

The multi-colored cases were able to withstand one of the most difficult stress tests known…the playground, which was good considering the value of the content each case was protecting. The iPod™ Touches came pre-loaded with 92 educational apps. These apps included such topics as spelling, math, time and vocabulary.

iFrogz was inspired with what the schools were doing with the new technology and jumped at the opportunity to help educate children beyond the traditional classroom setting.

cinda b

"cinda b Logo"

cinda b, one of the fastest-growing handbag, travel bag and tote companies in the United States, is partnering with United Way’s Women United program later this month in the event, Power of the Purse, which will take place September 29th. This charitable event will include live, silent and super-silent auctions of celebrity purses.

The money raised from the event will benefit early childhood education efforts for low-income families in the Fort Wayne, IN area. Being that cinda b bags are manufactured in Fort Wayne, IN (made in the USA – yea!), this event is a great opportunity to give back to the community.

Community outreach is something our clients take pride in. They enjoy the impact their efforts make on a much larger scale, and because of that, we are happy to have them on board.
