Here at BLAST we love the opportunity to see the different cities (and countries) where our clients live and work. Last week I was lucky enough to take my first BLASTmedia business trip to do just that. Media Relations Specialist Ashley Halberstadt and I traveled all the way down to Tulsa, Oklahoma (insert showtune here), to meet with the ZOMM team.

While there,  we got to tour the brand new ZOMM headquarters. We also witnessed the first shipment of ZOMMs arriving from the factory. It was great to be a part of the excitement—and to see how thrilled the team was as they watched their dream come true.

Laurie Penix, the ZOMM Mom and her husband, Henry are the Co-Founders of ZOMM. They have created the world’s first wireless leash for mobile phones. It works with any Bluetooth-capable phone and alerts you if you happen to walk away from your phone, preventing you from ever losing your cell phone. Plus, ZOMM is a hands-free speakerphone, panic alarm and can call emergency assistance from anywhere in the world.

ZOMM was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Showcase in Las Vegas back in January. They have been taking pre-orders since then, but are happy to announce that all pre-orders have been shipped! The official launch is June 1st, which will be kicked off by a press tour in New York City next week. Along with the official product launch, ZOMM has also created a brand-new website which will go live this week.

My first BLASTmedia trip was an enjoyable one—I loved seeing the passion the ZOMM team has for their product.
