BLASTmedia Client Spotlight: Dock-in and charge-up with Dexim

Last week was action-packed for our client Dexim, a manufacturer of iPod™ iPhone™ BlackBerry™ and iPad™ accessories that are quickly becoming a must-have for owners of these types of devices. In just over one year, numerous Dexim products have been made available at major retailers like Brookstone, Target and AT&T. And since BLASTmedia started as Dexim’s PR agency of record, they have been featured more than 300 times in major media outlets. In fact, just recently The New York Times mentioned the Dexim AV Dock Station in the “Personal Tech” section of the third most highly circulated daily newspaper. New York Times – May 5, 2010

Last Wednesday, Dexim announced the availability of the highly anticipated Solar Powered P-Flip Foldable Power Dock for the iPhone, while numerous top-tier online outlets such as Macworld and PCMag’s GearLog featured stories about the environmentally-friendly gadget. That same day we exhibited some of Dexim’s latest and greatest products at an event hosted by GDGT, an up-and-coming technology site founded by Peter Rojas (founder of Engadget and Gizmodo) and Ryan Block (former Engadget editor).

The line to get into GDGT wrapped around the corner at Gallery 233 in Chicago’s near north side. The room was packed with press, distributors and general consumers kicking back cocktails and checking out the hottest new technology. The atmosphere was great and the exposure for Dexim was even better.

Dexim’s social media campaign has also hit the ground running. With plenty of buzz taking place on various different social networks, we have been able to engage in some meaningful conversations. In just a short time period, Dexim now has 650 followers on Twitter and 165 Facebook fans. After customizing a YouTube channel for Dexim, they now have 128 subscribers and 830 friends…and we’re just getting started!
