Getting to know a new client…hours of product, industry, editor and competitor research…crafting story angles for the various media outlets…calling, emailing, Tweeting editors about a client…follow-up, follow-up, and more follow-up. Then pre-show coverage followed by a GREAT TRADESHOW. Through all of the time and effort it takes to get a new client off and running for a trade show, or the seemingly endless hours of prep-work that go into our Super Bowl, the Consumer Electronics Show, we all know it will be worth it. When that first piece of coverage runs on a product launch day or the first major media shows up at their scheduled time at your client’s tradeshow booth, it’s very rewarding. At BLASTmedia, we understand how much work goes into a video on CNN Money, or an article on Yahoo! Tech, but sometimes clients don’t truly understand. That’s why it’s so refreshing and satisfying when clients truly understand and appreciate how much our work does for their company. Here are some recent client comments from this past week about BLASTmedia and the work we do for them:
“It was crazy how many people would stop us and talk to us saying that they had heard about us or read about us or seen us somewhere. That was a really cool feeling! Talk about starting with a bang. I am getting text messages from a bunch of people in LA and OC that saw iStik on Fox!” – iStik
“You did a fantastic job, Chantal. Many said there was at least 35% less attendance at CES this year, but with your team, we could never have guessed. For us it was a success. Our Green Gem has already left CES, on their way to New York, and they will be traveling from reviewer to reviewer for months. I referred your company to many, and will continue to do so for sure!” – Gemme Audio
“Congratulations on the work you and Heidi have put into this show. We are obviously very excited with the continuing positive coverage we’re receiving. We are getting calls from all over the world to organize live interviews with radio, magazines and TV stations to enquire about miRoamer. Thank you again for the great press.” – miRoamer
“I, with my Company Angelis Labor, not only enjoyed working with you and all your people, and in particular mode with Chantal – as she was always with us – but we also had a very good time. You managed to make our day easier and acceptable. It was very tiring and I must say that our resources were totally concentrated on the visitors; everything else was looked after by you. [It was] certainly a good investment that will be repeated in the future and that I personally have also divulged to my fellow companies that go through very stressful shows all year round. I consider you all very, very professionally prepared, very well educated and very realistic and fast in everything you do. You did not allow me to face one single problem.” – Angelis Labor, Italy
“By the way, everyone here was really impressed by (Ashley’s) contributions to the events. (She) did a great job with the press, appointments, and walk-ups. We have had an awesome media response so far and we owe it all to (her)!” – iFrogz
“Just wanted to take minute before Monday madness to say THANK YOU to Katie and the BLAST team for getting behind the Isis team and getting us some PR love at the booth. We are beyond excited to see what happens with the follow up over the next week. Katie was a perfect fit for the team and really embraced the booth culture. It was inspiring to see her chase the business and have all the media members know her by name.” – Isis Dei
“Thank you very much for all of your excellent press coverage. Your team has kicked some serious booty for us and we really appreciate it!” – Camera Armor
“First, a round of applause for the great job Lauren (and your team) did helping to arrange media appointments and working our booth. Our team was very pleased with Lauren’s efforts.” – Heartmath
“You guys did a great job of securing coverage from Reuters. We are very impressed and appreciative! The clip looks fantastic. I like that Viscape is being mentioned in the same clip with the Ritz Carlton!” – Viscape
And an email that DEFINITELY makes it all worth it:
“We tried a PR company once before, and they were unbelievably unhelpful, so with that as our background I had no idea what to expect from Blast when we signed on, but the resulting 8 months or so have proved what a great decision it was.
Not only have we received bunches of press, but the way that we do tradeshows has also been transformed. Again I was not sure what to expect when we headed out to our first joint tradeshow, but as soon as Katie settled into the booth, she hit the ground running and sounded like she had been doing it for years. That energy coupled with the scheduling and tracking of the media at the shows has made a huge difference in the way that our shows function. I now feel that we look more professional, and that we accomplish much more at each show, even at the shows where we do not have a Blaster in the booth, the media is well scheduled and followed up on. I think it has made a big difference in how effective we are at shows, and how much we get out of them as well.
I think the other important thing to say is that Katie has been a fantastic face for BLAST. She has been a responsible and responsive contact point, ready with answers and ideas whenever asked and has kept us well informed about what is happening. We have all been nothing but impressed with the ever-growing press coverage that she has gathered for us and the energy that she brings to it.
So all that to say…thanks. Blast has done a great job! I am glad you found us and I look forward to a long and successful future with you all.” – SmartShield
It’s definitely the little things here at BLAST that keeps us going and make what we do so enjoyable and rewarding. We love and appreciate our clients no matter what, but when they understand what we do, what it takes, and what our efforts are doing for their company, brand, sales, etc., it goes so much farther. From BLAST to our clients, we thank you all. 2009 is going to be an exciting and fruitful year for everyone!
